Program pre-requisites:

CNA's (min of 6 months experience)
will be granted 10 credit hours.
Completed Grade 12 or GED equivalent.

37 weeks (after completion of the pre-requisites)
Program Instructional Hours:
Theory (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm)
Clinical (Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm, & some Saturday classes)

prepares you to take the state board exam.

Pharmacology
Persons with “equivalent”
experience (51 months in an acute care facility), and a 54
hour pharmacology course maybe eligible to write the Licensed
Vocational Nursing board exam. This course is designed to
meet the 54 hour pharmacology requirement for eligibility.
Nutrition
This course provides
students with an understanding of the basic concepts and principles
of nutrition including digestion, metabolism and function
of nutrients across the life span as well as the nutritional
needs during pregnancy.
